Plastic bottles come in a relatively narrow range of colors; transparent bottles and green bottles are predominant.  Brown and blue follow.  So part of the challenge is in working within that limited palette, and also to keep broadening the exercise so the goblets do not become repetitive.  A trip to the store becomes part of the creative exercise, for it means analyzing these bottles on the shelf with the eye of an artist, rather than one of a consumer.  With that eye, the store becomes a magical place.

 

 

the objects inside this goblet happen to be rings, made from recycled materials.  the band on the stem is made of straw and bamboo i believe.
